During a hot summer in 1954, in a cramped one-room machine shop in Augusta, Georgia, E-Z-GO® was born. Two brothers founded the company from a simple belief that they could build a better golf car, which better met the needs of the customer, than any other vehicle then on the market. From those humble beginnings, E-Z- GO has grown into a global leader in light transportation, building many thousands of vehicles each year from its world headquarters in Augusta. E-Z- GO is also renowned as a leader in electric-vehicle technology, from the exclusive, highly energy-efficient AC Drive system used in the RXV® golf-car platform; to Exceed Hybrid Technology™, which supplements an E-Z- GO electric vehicle's electric drivetrain with a small gas-powered generator for up to 150 miles of range between charges; to the PowerFilm Solar Panel, which recharges our RXV and TXT® electric vehicles on the fly, increasing range between charges and reducing the amount of electricity required "from the grid" to recharge the vehicles.
